Letters from Senior Editors
Camron Swartzendruber
Hey y'all! This is the 2024 publication of The Image! How exciting!
Working alongside such an incredible editorial team during this roller coaster ride has been an honor. Are we always professional? Never! But we know how to act like we are. I want to shout out specifically to my partner in crime, Jeweliet Coffee. She has been a fantastic co-senior editor and kept us all on track. Our team has worked hard this semester, so we are excited to share this year's publication with you!
Please make sure you check out our Scenes section under Good Reads! This highlights two of our theatre students, Moriah Geesey and Joseph Arnold, who have written some plays of their own. The only thing better than reading their work would be watching it live!
Thanks for reading!
Jeweliet Coffee
I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with such an amazing team. I want to shout out my co-senior editor, Camron Swartzendruber for always getting us off track. But for real, I’m so grateful for your friendship and partnership in this publication. I couldn’t have done this without you.
As you read through, be sure to check out Ethan Atchley’s short story, “The Dentist,” and Megan Archuleta’s God Moment, “Love Beyond Borders.” Also take a look at our Pets of SAGU section to see some of our campus family’s furry friends. Then head over to the Recipes section and try some tasty treats.
Thank you to everyone who submitted to The Image this year! None of this would be possible without the many talented SAGU students, staff, and alumni.
We hope you enjoy!

Danny Lund currently serves as a missionary in Costa Rica, but after graduating from SAGU in 2002 with a B.S. in cross-cultural studies, he first started serving in Northern Asia with his wife Jamie. We had a chance to touch base with Danny about his experiences serving as a missionary and about his favorite hobby: photography.
For three years, Danny and Jamie studied Mandarin, then taught English and ran an English Cafe on a university campus – until Jamie found herself facing a battle with cancer . . .
